The use of Electrolyzed Water is a relatively new sanitizing technique for breweries. The advantages are multi-fold:

First. Viking PureSolutions are prepared ON-SITE by the electrolysis of a dilute saline solution and do NOT require the use of additional chemicals.

Electrolyzed Solutions were evaluated specifically in the Brewing industry and those results can be downloaded via the Viking PureSolutions website. The focus of the evaluation was the prevention of bacterial contamination and water conservation via CIP (Clean In Place) with electrolyzed water. It was concluded that electrolyzed solutions are a sufficient alternative to more traditonal chemicals such as paracetic acid and that when evaluated within an industrial scale CIP tests, only required 10 minutes of cleaning with NO REQUIREMENT to rinse after sanitation.
