Monica L. Nakielski is a strategic advisor on ESG and Sustainability with over 15 years of experience guiding Fortune 500 firms, governments, and nonprofits.

Previously, Monica led sustainability at Advocate Aurora Health, was the NA Healthcare Practice Lead at Anthesis, a global sustainability consultancy, managed the sustainability program at MassGeneral Brigham (formerly Partners HealthCare), and served as the head of sustainability at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Monica’s influence extends beyond her executive roles, as evidenced by her commitment to transformative change. She chairs the board of Healthy Building Network, sits on the steering committee for The Chemical Footprint Project, and is a strategic advisor to SION60 a decarbonization software start up emphasizing her dedication to catalyzing positive impact.

Monica’s contributions garnered industry recognition, notably as a recipient of the prestigious 2022 Women in Sustainability Leadership Award. Monica is a published author on the topics of ESG, sustainability, communications, and driving actionable results. Monica holds an MBA from Simmons School of Management, BS from University of Wisconsin, Madison and Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership Certificate from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Claire Brawdy, Project Manager, Initiatives & Advisory Services at Healthcare Anchor Network

Claire is a project manager and facilitator, with a background in human-centered design, strategic planning, and change management. As a Project Manager, Initiatives & Advisory Services for the Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN), Claire collaborates with HAN members from across the country, identifying strategies, models, and trainings to build and sustain their anchor mission implementation approach. Prior to joining HAN, Claire worked with a DC-based consultancy and an array of federal and commercial clients to roll out consulting products grounded in human-centered design. Claire holds a B.A. in History from Dickinson College.

Rebecca Hou, Program Manager, Environmental Sustainability (& ESG) at Vizient, Inc.

Rebecca Hou is an Environmental Sustainability Program Manager at Vizient, the nation’s largest member-driven healthcare performance improvement company. In her role, Rebecca provides over 60% of acute care hospitals in the United States with the data, insights, and subject matter expertise needed to improve the sustainability of their supply chains and advance human and environmental health.

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Duke University. She has previously worked on a wide range of environmental issues with the Clorox Company, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Duke Health, and Sustainable Solutions Corporation.

Joshua Schwartz, President & a Co-Founder of Viking Pure Solutions

Joshua Schwartz is the President and a Co-Founder of Viking Pure Solutions, a sustainable cleaning innovation company that is changing the way facilities clean and disinfect with non-toxic, on-demand solutions that are better for people and the environment. With a career spanning diverse industries such as medical real estate, healthcare, finance, and supportive housing, Joshua has made it his mission to identify societal needs and develop innovative solutions that are cost-effective and beneficial to those involved. Prior to Viking Pure, Joshua was the President of an Article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment Center. He began his career in the financial industry, first in investment banking at Citigroup and then at private equity firm Apollo Management. Joshua graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Yale College with a B.A. in Economics with Distinction, and holds a master’s from New York University, where he graduated with Honors.
