Moderator: Jason E. Callis, CFM

Jason E. Callis, CFM, has over 25 years of experience in corporate facilities management, real estate, and project management with emphasis on facilities operations. Jason has been a member of IFMA since 2002 and earned his Certified Facility Manager designation in 2013. He serves on the IFMA Global Board of Directors and as Vice-Chair for the IFMA Federal Government Affairs Committee.

Daniel Lawson is a co-founder and the President of Business Affairs at Viking Pure Solutions. He spent over a decade in the medical device industry, earning unparalleled insight into the intricacies of our health care environment and some of the biggest needs yet to be addressed. Daniel partnered with Viking Pure’s co-executive team to introduce a disruptive, patent protected, and environmentally-conscious technology to transform cleaning and infection control in commercial facilities across a wide range of industries. He is dedicated to creating a movement to remove TOXIC CHEMICALS from the environment and to challenge the status-quo of what it means to truly clean and disinfect safely, sustainably and effectively.

Christian Weeks, enVerid Systems

Christian is a climate tech entrepreneur and sustainable building expert. As CEO of enVerid Systems, a Boston-based start-up, Christian is leading a paradigm shift in how building ventilation systems are designed and operated using hybrid ventilation systems that combine efficient ventilation and air cleaning technologies to achieve better indoor air quality and lower energy use at the same time. Prior to enVerid, Christian ran Enel X’s North American energy services business and EnerNOC’s global demand response business. Christian started his career as a management consultant with Deloitte. Christian is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Harvard Business School.

Annie Hancock, Green Seal

Annie is Director of Partnerships and Customer Success at Green Seal, a global non-profit organization and leading ecolabel with a mission to transform the economy for a healthier, greener world. She has over 13 years of experience working across sectors managing projects and programs to ensure client success. Annie has been with Green Seal for over 10 years in total in a variety of roles. As Director of Partnerships and Customer Success, she works collaboratively with product manufacturers, service providers, and schools to help recognize their sustainability leadership and grow Green Seal’s impact. She has a M.A. from George Washington University in Organizational Management and a B.A. in economics and environmental studies from The College of William and Mary.

Raphael Carty, NYU Stern School of Business

Raphael Carty is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Management and Organizations at NYU Stern School of Business teaching about commercializing disruptive technology and leading innovation with a curriculum that includes leading innovation in sustainability technology, smart buildings and smart cities. Prior to joining the NYU faculty, Carty was co-founder and CEO of Callida Energy, a smart building solution startup that promoted sustainability and energy efficiency in commercial buildings. With 13 years of experience in sustainability, Carty has spoken about smart buildings and green buildings at SXSW, SXSW Eco, Maker Faire, Buildings NY, and other conferences. Raphael holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Harvard College.

Lisa Stanley, USGBC

Lisa works closely with industry leaders to increase the knowledge, financial incentives and implementation of green building practices. During Lisa’s interactions with the market, she listens and learns; always bringing the market knowledge back to USGBC to support and enhance products and customer service. Lisa is known for both her technical knowledge and ability to support large scale clients and projects. She currently maintains the LEED AP ID+C credential and is proficient in the LEED for New Construction, Commercial Interiors & Existing Buildings rating systems. Over the years she has worked closely with EPA Portfolio Manager ENERGY STAR and the Federal Guiding Principles. Experience includes being a Certified Energy Manager, CEM and Certified Property Manager, CPM with a Real Estate Broker’s License for the State of Colorado. With 14 years under her belt as commercial real estate property manager, four as a sustainability consultant, and ten at USGBC, Lisa understands the market brings a unique perspective to USGBC.

Darryl Boyce, ASHRAE

Darryl K. Boyce, P.Eng., Fellow/Life Member ASHRAE, was the ASHRAE President for the 2019-2020 term. Boyce has previously served on the board of directors as treasurer, vice president, Director, and Regional Chair Region 2 and director-at-large. Throughout his time spent with ASHRAE and in the HVAC industry, Boyce has worked on various projects to increase energy efficiency. His most recent projects include the SNOLAB project in Sudbury, Ontario, where he is responsible for the design and construction of a world class research facility for underground science. Boyce is retired and was previously special advisor to the vice-president (Finance and Administration) – and the assistant vice president of facilities management and planning – at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

Boyce is a 1982 graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and earned his Engineering Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1973.
