“It Smells Clean in Here!” … and Other Red Flags

When Scented Disinfectants, Outdated SOPs, and Misguided Habits Undermine Safety
That “lemon-fresh” smell might make families feel reassured, but what if it’s actually a sign that something’s gone wrong?
In this candid (and slightly irreverent) conversation, industry leaders will break down the most common misconceptions around cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention in senior living communities. From overly fragrant sprays to legacy protocols that refuse to die, we’ll explore the red flags that well-meaning operators might be overlooking—and what a truly safe, healthy environment actually looks like.
Expect funny stories, honest insights, and practical advice you can bring back to your teams.
Who should attend: Executive Directors, Facilities Leaders, Environmental Services Teams, and anyone responsible for keeping communities safe, healthy, and fresh, but not fragranced.
